CoVideo: Sheila’s 60-second Tip of the Week (June 26, 2009)
Lights! Camera! CoVideo!
(The importance of lighting … not just on your mood but for the quality of your video recordings.)
| |
Lighting makes all the difference when recording a video. High-light, low-light and special effect lighting set the mood and tone of your message. Abundant natural light creates a warm and comfortable feeling while artificial light, fluorescent lights in particular, have more blue tones and may alter skin coloring. In the CoVideo offices we supplement our overhead fluorescent lights with incandescent spot and table lighting. Preview your videos to make sure there is sufficient light and make any necessary adjustments to your camera settings if room lighting is adequate. Cameras have varying capabilities of capturing light sources so the same room setting may appear lighter with one camera than another. Spending a few minutes on lighting will put you at ease and help you deliver your message with confidence! |
While not a literal transcript like in past weeks, I’d still make an educated guess that you chose to watch the video … or a part of it … before you read the text to the right of the video player. I challenge you to watch and read both and compare your reaction. What’s more entertaining, relevant, informative? Which communicates more? Which one actually could “brighten your day”? (Pun intended.)
Even if/when you might not know the person you’re watching, don’t you truly have a sense of who they are after watching a video of them over reading text that they’ve written? Which would you rather receive in your inbox?
That’s the “power of video”! With Video Email you have the ability to communicate better, faster, and with greater impact to and understanding by the recipient / viewer.

Place Videos on the Web, in Browsers and Email Blasts!
Watch the video below to find out about the different ways every video in your library can be used.
Uses of Video Email
There’s no better substitute than making a personal connection with those in your business and personal communications. Read on below the table for video email custom template and email icons that can be designed for you. A custom template represents all the graphics, buttons, and links that surround your video when viewed by your recipients that supplement your branding effort while directing them to other online resources to enable them to take further action and/or contact you. An email icon is the graphic which is inserted into your video email message to also enhance your branding which, when clicked, launches the video in their web browser.
Contact us today to find out more about this and CoVideo’s other integrated and powerful communication tools.

CoVideo: Sheila’s 60-second Tip of the Week (May 15, 2009)
It’s Easy “Going Green” With CoVideo Systems
|
Following is the transcript of the video you probably just watched: Hi, this is Sheila with CoVideo. And this is your 60-second tip of the week. News flash. “Go Green!” Everybody’s “going green”, and you can “go green” too. With your CoVideo system, sending out a video instead of maybe a … paper thank you … is a great way to “go green”. On top of … instead of traveling across the state to meet with that client face to face … one on one, “go green” and send a video email. I want you to know that CoVideo is a world-class presentation and conferencing system. We are not just your regular video email company. So, as you think about “going green”, you need to also know that our goal is to “Connect Your World Daily”. This is Sheila with CoVideo, and I hope you have a fabulous week focusing on “going green”. |
I bet you chose to watch the video … or a part of it … before you read the transcript. I challenge you to watch and read both and compare your reaction. Which would you rather receive in your inbox? Which communicates more?
That’s the “power of video” and with Video Email you have the ability to communicate better, faster, and with greater impact to and understanding by the recipient / viewer.

I was still on Dave Kaminski’s Blog at www.WebVideoUniversity.com and thought I’d forward his post over to my blog. Dave mentions two companies with live video streaming services that allow website owners to do live web broadcasts from their own websites.
- UStream’s Watershed
- Stickam’s StreamAPI
I’ve been wanting to give UStream a test drive, but I will now be taking a look at StreamAPI as well.
